WINNER for Best Social Media Campaign – The Malta eBusiness Awards 2020: Wave of Change

Wave of Change is a local movement led by the modern-day real-life superhero Neil Agius, with the aim to create real awareness about the pollution of our seas. To raise awareness through leveraging digital and social media platforms, Neil performs outrageous, newsworthy, and inspiring challenges โ€” like swimming around Malta in 24 hours! Or how about swimming straight from Sicily to Malta without rest? Yes, thatโ€™s right โ€” thatโ€™s the one you hopefully heard about earlier this year and followed through social media.

This moment in history, paired with an intricately-executed campaign, resulted in a huge (and purely organic) social media burst of awareness, engagement, and support. The campaign was executed by Logix in collaboration with Growth Gurus. The Objective was to get people to take a stand. To make an impact and to make a commitment by signing a pledge form. To collect 3 pieces of plastic and vocalise their move by sharing and creating more #wavemakers
